JESUS HAS A VISION FOR YOUR LIFE.
I could stop right there to be honest. That is a very hard reality to face and to understand because it involves complete trust and time that we spend waiting for that vision to be fulfilled.
POINT TO PONDER:
Ask Jesus to help you get to the root of the things in your life. Ask him to help you embrace the truth.
Sometimes that can be really hard. To accept the truth, to admit we're wrong, do admit we made an assumption or a mistake. It's difficult to agree with someone that we disagree with them. We don't want to hurt feelings.
The truth we are faced with today is that Jesus was a radical in the sense that He desires to get to the very core of our being. We have to commit to diligently opening ourselves up to Him, surrender to the challenges He brings to us, with the complete understanding that He'll show us our purpose and allow us to experience completely serene PEACE. True Peace, the kind only our Lord can provide for us.
VERSE TO LIVE: "Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus." Phillippians 2:5
Just chalk this one up to being a lifetime assignment that we can only pray we complete. What does it take for us to be like Jesus each day and think like he did. Can we abide completely in the truth like Jesus did?
Try try try.
QUESTION TO CONSIDER:
When was the last time you had the courage to seek out the root of an important issue?
I don't know that I even know what is considered an important issue? Something life changing? Something earth shattering?
This is getting a little deep.
PRAYER:
Jesus, point me toward the root of things, and give me an extra nudge when I am tempted to settle for the shallow and superficial.
